YOU’RE ONLY AS GOOD AS YOUR CREW
[ AV Educate ] at its core means to train StageHands to become Technicians and provide the resource for Technicians to Become Engineers.
Stagehand:s often work in more labor intensive positions and at a more entry level rate. They may not have the means and/or access to participate in training programs to develop their skills and move up the ladder.
Technicians: often have a specialty skill or knowledge in one or more areas of show production. They may be receiving a higher pay rate for their skills, which may allow them to invest in training classes that apply to their skillset.
Top Engineers often hold positions such as A1, V1, ME, etc., That require greater responsibilities. Engineers will often train on the latest technology and industry best practices to keep them at the cutting edge of their field.
